Lego The Mandalorian
I love the Lego game series, but I was left feeling a bit disappointed when the latest Lego game (Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga) released character DLCs instead of doing DLC story campaigns. This desire for some Lego Mandalorian content inspired further to create 3 concepts on how The Mandalorian could make it's way to the lego game format in the following ways: Skywalker Saga 1 Level DLC, 3 Level DLC, and an original game.
I began by watching all of Season 1 of The Mandalorian, taking notes as the show went on. For each episode, I focused on the following:
-
Narrative
-
Characters
-
Abilities
-
Location
-
Action
These elements would allow me to theorise possible gameplay (levels and open-world), mechanics, and cutscenes.

From there, I began to convert each episode into gameplay. Out of the bat, it was clear that some episodes had clear potential to become a level versus other ones that lacked enough action and narrative progression.
In the following document, I expand on the notes I collected, and determined which parts of episodes would be turned into cutscenes, open world progression, and levels.
This is essentially the finished outline for Season 1 of the show as if it were to be fully converted into it's own Lego game.
After outlining how each episode would work gameplay wise, I then used the outlines to determine the best way to go about each of the DLCs. (As shown in the documents below)
1 Level DLC
The 1 level DLC pack would be Level 1 from the Document above. I chose this level as it is how we as the viewer are introduced to The Mandalorian, and I think it has a good amount of action and characters in it to make for an exciting pack
3 Level DLC
For the 3 Level DLC, I wanted to create 3 levels that would tell the story of season 1 in a satisfying way and which covered the key content of the season.
Level 1 would be Episodes 1 and 2 merged into 1 as it sets up the DLC perfectly (as well as for all of the reason mentioned above).
Level 2 would be Level 3, which introduces Cara Dune, who is a key character in this season of the show. There is plenty of action to be had within the level that would leave both players to be satisfied.
Level 3 would be Level 6, as it brings back all the characters from the previous levels (which would've been shown in this 3 level pack) and shows how the season concludes. The main difference for this level in the 3 level pack versus the full game version is the removal of the open world elements. This would likely mean that a lot of Episode 7's content would be skipped over in a short and simple cutscene which would show Mando and his crew landing on Nevarro, Greef immediately betraying his hunters, and then the level starting at the cantina. The rest of the level would play out identically.
